That human touch
Fascinating stories from RELX people around the world
Over the last four years, we’ve written around 100 immersive stories and made even more user-generated videos about our people, their work and their lives. We’ve featured well over 1,500 colleagues, one way or another, from every corner of the world and every part of our business.
We’ve learnt about how our women are changing the face of technology. We’ve discovered more about family life. We’ve heard from our stand-out managers on what makes them successful. We’ve read about our colleagues who are also published authors and we’ve even met colleagues who share names with A-list celebrities. And so many other things besides.
We tell these stories to showcase our diversity and culture and give readers the chance to meet some of our people. We aim to make a large, global company like RELX feel a little smaller and more human. We find that doing this not only helps improve employee engagement for people already with us but it also provides a window on what it’s really like to work here for people thinking of joining us.
In the last four years all these stories combined have had three quarters of a million reads. The short films we’ve made have had nearly a quarter of a million views. We've won awards for our work.
And when we post this content on LinkedIn we achieve extraordinary levels of engagement with people liking, sharing and commenting. We love telling these stories and our people love sharing their experiences, so we will be doing more.
Last year alone, we featured over 300 colleagues from Shanghai to São Paulo and Warsaw to Sydney - and pretty much everywhere in between.
